Portsmouth, NH — The 2015 Market Square Day 10k Road Race will take place on Saturday June 13th in Market Square, downtown Portsmouth. Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is proud to have been the Title Sponsor of this great event for 11 consecutive years. This year is the 38th Annual Market Square Day Festival. It is one of the Seacoast’s most highly anticipated and largest celebrations, and features hundreds of vendors, live music, great food, and the opportunity to enjoy everything that Portsmouth has to offer.
Each year, the day kicks off with the 10k Road Race, which winds its way through downtown Portsmouth and finishes at historic Strawbery Banke. Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics would like to wish all of the runners good running weather and a great race.
Following the race, patrons will have the opportunity to visit the vendors and shops throughout downtown Portsmouth, sample food from local restaurants and listen to live music by some of the Seacoast’s most talented musicians. Market Square Day was created in 1978 to celebrate the renovation and beautification of Downtown Portsmouth and, in particular, Market Square. The festival has grown in size along with the growth and popularity of Portsmouth. It is estimated that between 60,000 and 80,000 people walk through Downtown Portsmouth on that one day enjoying the entertainment, products and food offered by local artists, crafters and merchants.
