Exeter, NH – Nicole Spaulding of Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics has been appointed by Governor Hassan to the Governing Board of Athletic Trainers for the State of New Hampshire.
Spaulding is the Director of Athletic Training Services at Access Sports Medicine. She joined Access in 2009 as the Head Athletic Trainer for Portsmouth High School. She has since transitioned into Access Acceleration where she specializes in post rehab, return to sport, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and corrective exercise techniques.
“I’m honored to have been chosen and look forward to serving the state through the Governing Board. It’s a great opportunity,” stated Spaulding.
The Governing Board of Athletic Trainers for the State of New Hampshire develops policy and sets the standard of practice for all State Licensed Athletic Trainers. The Board reviews applications and issues licenses to qualified applicants, investigates complaints and takes appropriate disciplinary action when violations are found to have occurred, and monitors and enforces continued certification at the national level. The board consists of five members. Three Licensed Athletic Trainers, one Physician, and one public member appointed by the governor.
