The topic of discussion will be “Lumps & Bumps of the Wrist and Hand” and will cover many of the most common abnormalities of the hand and wrist. From ganglion cysts to dupuytren’s disease and everything in between, Orthopaedic Hand Surgeons Dr. Matthew Quitkin and Dr. Roderick Bruno will discuss these common ailments, what causes them and what surgical and non-operative treatment options are available.
Roderick J. Bruno, MD is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the New England Hand Society, and the New England Orthopaedic Society. He has numerous publications in the field of hand and upper extremity trauma, reconstruction, and congenital deformities. He is formerly an Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Tufts University School of Medicine, New England Medical Center, and the Floating Hospital for Children.
H. Matthew Quitkin, MD is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon fellowship trained in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Dr. Quitkin has been in the practice of hand and upper extremity surgery since 2000 and is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has made contributions to many distinguished publications on surgery of the hand and upper extremity. He specializes in pediatric and adult upper extremity and hand surgery. His areas of expertise include trauma, congenital abnormalities, arthritis, tumors, arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery.
