NATM 2013Throughout the Month of March, Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is celebrating our amazing team of Athletic Trainers for National Athletic Training Month 2013.  An Athletic Trainer is an expert at recognizing, treating and preventing musculoskeletal injuries.  Athletic Trainers meet qualifications set by the Board of Certification, Inc., and adhere to the requirements of the NH state licensing board. Athletic Trainers practice under the direction of a physician and are members of a health care profession recognized by the American Medical Association.

Athletic Trainers play an important role on the sidelines at any youth athletic events.  They are often the first responders in the event of an injury and they are responsible for determining an athletes safe return to play when injury occurs on the field or in a game.  Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics offers comprehensive athletic training services for several Seacoast area schools.  We provide full or part-time coverage at the following Seacoast area schools:

Heidi EHS HockeyHaving an athletic trainer on the sidelines at games and practices is a crucial part of injury prevention in athletes of all levels.  Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics has made a commitment to help fulfill that role for many area schools that otherwise would not have the resources to place a trainer at home athletic events.  Our team of experienced trainers are dedicated health care professionals that are skilled to respond quickly and calmly when injuries occur.
