Exeter, NH – The Physicians of Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics announce the addition of Bruce Gomberg, MD, MA to their practice. Now, people living in the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine in need of personalized knee transplants, or hip replacements have access to the first board-certified orthopaedic surgeon to perform them using the most innovative technology.
Dr. Gomberg specializes in joint replacement of the knee and hip, knee arthroscopy, and fracture care. He is the first surgeon in New Hampshire to implant new, custom knee replacements developed by ConforMIS, a company that designs and manufactures a full line of customized knee implants. These implants are individually sized and shaped to fit to each patient’s unique anatomy, offering advantages not achievable with “off the shelf” knee implants. Dr. Gomberg has now performed a series of both partial and total knee replacements using this cutting edge technology.
Dr. Gomberg earned his Medical Degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic Surgery Residency at West Virginia University. Dr. Gomberg completed his Master’s Fellowship in Arthroplasty and Surgical Healthcare Delivery at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He has been the Director of the prestigious Maine Orthopaedic Review for the past eight years.
